- Baryon: Family of strongly interacting subatomic particles including the proton and neutron.
- Biotin: A water-soluble B vitamin often used in combination with the protein streptavidin in biochemical assays.
- Black Hole: An astronomical object whose mass so concentrated that nothing, including light, can escape its gravitational attraction.
- Blind signal separation: The descrambling of mixed electronic signals with little or no prior knowledge about the signals or how they are mixed.
- Bose-Einstein Condensate: A "super atom" formed when bosons are cooled to temperatures very near absolute zero and most of the atoms collapse into the lowest quantum state.
- Bosons: Photons and atoms or molecules with integer spins.
