Jimenez Lab
Job Opportunities
The Jimenez group is always looking for highly motivated researchers interested in working at the interfaces of chemical physics, biochemistry, optics and biology. Opportunties may be available for high school students, undergraduates, graduate students, and postdocs. Postdoctoral candidates who are U.S. citizens are encouraged to apply through the National Research Council Research Associateship Programs.
Winter 2008: At this time, we are particularly looking for a postdoctoral researcher with a background in nonlinear spectroscopy or multiphoton imaging for a project involving the use of coherent Raman spectroscopy to prospect for biofuels in algal and bacterial cultures.
Winter 2008: We are also looking for physics and chemistry graduate students with interests in fluorescent proteins, photophysics, and microfluidics to work on exciting, newly funded projects involving the optimization of red fluorescent proteins and FRET-sensors for biological imaging. A postdoctoral position is also available.
